Foam Trimming Bat - 13"

“Trimming is usually an integral part of making pots and this heavy-duty but lightweight sponge bat makes that step so much easier! Made of 2” thick, high density foam mounted securely onto a 13” x 1/4” waterproof bat – this trimming bat means you’ll never again have to use coils or lumps of clay to hold your pot to the wheel head while trimming. This allows you to trim all the way to the pots rim, if necessary: i.e. plates and shallow bowls. The bat attaches to the wheel head as with most bats, using 2 bat pins. (2 holes positioned at standard 10“ apart.) And, the fact that the sponge bat is 2 1/4” in total thickness allows you to trim large to very large platters and bowls with the pots rim overhanging the foam edge.”
